Finding the name and the model number

The easiest way is to check the user guide for your component and write down the component's brand name and model number.

If you do not have your user guide then check the table on the right for tips on where to look.

WARNING

IF YOU ARE USING A UNIVERSAL REMOTE
Do not use the model number of you Universal Remote to identify your component because this method is not reliable.

Generally in the back of the set.

Remote
Control

On top, under the remote or in the battery compartment.
Please note that most remote control do not have a model number printed on them.
